Christopher Hartford is a photographer and cinematographer living in the North West of England. His interests in photography and film are mainly in the travel documentary and landscape tradition.

In recent years he has travelled extensively across the USA armed with stills and motion picture cameras stopping occasionally to take shots or shoot a couple of minutes of film and quite often attracting attention from curious passers by.

The galleries on this site showcase examples of his contemporary work ranging from USA road culture to UK trainspotters.
Whether it be taken in the heat of the desert sand or within the smell of a New Mexico motel room, each shot has a story to tell.....
