Big Apple
City scapes from New York
59th Street Bridge. New York City
The only real picture and sound imagery that I had in my head about modern day New York city came from two films. The French Connection with it's incredible Don Ellis soundtrack and Woody Allens Manhatten with the music of George Gershwin.
For me This picture is my acknowledgement to the latter. The whole area has the feel of a Woody Allen movie whilst the image itself which was taken on a hand held 35mm has a slightly blurred and dreamy quality which for me has Gershwins Rhapsody in Blue written all over it.
