Rachel Nevada
I remember it taking about twenty minutes to get this shot and I wasn't even using the 5x4 camera. I remember trying out different lenses in a bid to get detail on the wood and cloth and make the background more interesting. An old couple watched me as I moved the tripod back and forward, took lenses off, put lenses on, took readings and finally snatch the shot on a long lens. I packed everything up and left like it was the most normal thing in the world.
This is why my wife prefers me to do my photo stuff on my own. I've sort of promised not to embarrass her by using the 5x4 with a black cloth over my head when she's around.
I'm not sure I suit the Fox Talbot look anyway.
