Big Apple
City scapes from New York
Houston Street
We travelled around New York on a 7 day metro travelpass which cost around $20. Whilst it's true we kind of missed the bits in between the stops above ground the dusty underground world of the New York transit system has a character of it's own. Looking through The vertical iron girders at the non stop trains rattling past along the centre roads is like looking through an old rotoscope.
For a moment I felt like I was Gene Hackman in the French Connection. Thank God I didn't get as far as throwing my gloves off whilst chasing a departing train down the platform.
